Discover the rich, ecological diversity of East Malaysia (Borneo) and the unique traditions of its tribal communities. Highlights of this tour include meals shared at traditional longhouses, jungle walks, longboat rides, the caves at Mulu and the famous bat exodus, and a tour of the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre.

OUR TIPS:

  1. For the active traveller: extend your tour at the end in Kota Kinabalu and book the two-day sunrise hike up Mount Kinabalu, the highest peak in South East Asia.

  2. For the slightly less active, reserve a round of golf on Mount Kinabalu's golf course - certainly one of the more dramatic courses you will ever play. 

  3. Bring quick-drying shoes for your jungle hikes and longboat rides and a can of bug spray - you'll thank us later. 

  4. On your free afternoon at Selingan Island, try snorkeling. Borneo is one of the top snorkeling destinations in the world, and snorkeling at Selingan Island, famous for its turtles, will not disappoint.
